Wang's in the Desert

Have you ever felt like you are the absolute last person to know some kind of big news? Well that's how I felt before I checked out Wang's In The Desert. It seemed like the more i asked around the more I realized how popular this place is. It's a top notch Pan Asian cuisine restaurant combining Sichuan, Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, Thai and Korean cooking influences. A very entrancing ambiance encompasses the dining room, which includes a serene indoor pond, and flows through the spacious bar and to the outdoor patio area. A very nice place to unwind with friends after a tough day or plan a night out with the family.
The menu is huge. I always go straight for the appetizers; we went with the fried wontons stuffed with a roasted red peppers cream cheese. They just melt in your mouth!! Wang's has a great selection of salad, pork, beef, chicken, and seafood entrees; it was so hard to choose between the panko crusted Chinese perch and the kung pao shrimp and scallops, but i went with my love for spicy food. It was wokked perfectly with green, red, and yellow peppers, yellow onions, dried red chilis, and peanuts in a spicy sweet sauce. A friend of mine went with a mandarin shrimp salad tossed with a sweet ginger sauce. I tried a little and it was a really light and flavorful Asian salad. They piled on the shrimp as well. The portions are very filling and the food was nothing short of excellent!!
We were greeted by a friendly staff and our waiter, Luke, was very fun and definitely knew what he was talking about when he recommended my dish. You can also reserve one of their VIP rooms for a party. All in all it's now one of my favorite places in the desert and I can't wait to visit them again!
