Richmond Restaurant Week October 22-28th 2007

by Shannon Timberlake

It's that time again, Richmond Restaurant Week!

Great chance to go and try your favorite restaurant or make a new favorite while helping the Central Virginia Food Bank.

Prix Fixe menu all week, $25.07 per person, with $2.07 each going to the Food Bank (tip not included, be generous, you're getting a great meal for a ridiculous price).

Reservations are definitely recommended, here are the numbers to call and websites to check out the menus beforehand. Over $13,000 raised last year, get out and see if we can't top that number this year!

Acacia, 3325 W. Cary St. Check Acacia out for the last Restaurant week in Carytown

Amici Ristorante 3343 W. Cary St. Fine Italian Dining in Carytown

Bacchus 2 N. Meadow St. (one of my personal favorites, last year the ostrich was A-MA-ZING)

Bistro 27 (Twenty-Seven) 27 W. Broad St. Always good, European Bistro

Cabo's Corner Bistro 2053 W. Broad St.

Europa 1409 E. Cary St. Mediterranean Cafe and Tapas

Hard Shell 1411 E. Cary St. Awesome Seafood

Hondo's at Innsbruck 4024 Cox Rd. I haven't tried Hondo's yet, but I hear they make a great steak

Julep's New Southern 18th & Franklin St. New Southern Cuisine, always good and awlays interesting

La Grotta 1218 E. Cary St. Has it all, Seafood, Steak and Italian

Michelle's at Hanover Tavern 13181 Hanover Courthouse Rd. Located at Hanover Tavern, they'll be serving a menu that has my mouth watering already

Millie's 2603 E. Main St. You can't go wrong when you go Millie's

Rowland Fine Dining 2132 W. Main St. Consistently strong reviews

Sam Miller's 1210 E. Cary St. They tout "one of the best crab cakes in Richmond" I went there last year, definitely left with a smile on my face

Six Burner 1627 W. Main St. Another Fan favorite, great seafood options as well as quiet ambiance

The Hill Café 2800 E. Broad St. Another personal favorite. Always solid menu and great wine list. Reservations STRONGLY recommended

The Track 2915 W. Cary St. One of Carytown's best kept secrets...Tends to be a bit pricey, try it out this week for the fixed price!

TJ's at the Jefferson 101 W. Franklin St. Infamous staircase, sadly this menu doesn't include Sunday Brunch. But TJ's has more than just an awesome brunch, give it a try.

Zed Café 5109 Lakeside Ave. I just tried this last week, it is definitely on my list of restaurants next week. Relaxed and therapeutic environment, strong variety on the wine list (try the Conosur Pinot) and savory food. I highly recommend giving Zed Cafe a chance to be one of your favorites!

Zeus Gallery Café 201 N. Belmont Ave. Another Fan staple, romantic and cozy environment, DEFINITELY MAKE RESERVATIONS as seating is limited.

Give one, some or all a try next week, you will not be disappointed!

Ever taste Bullet's fast food? They have great burgers. Very tasty. I used to work there. Their fries are pretty good too. You should try it.
