Bourbon Tasting!!!!!

by Christopher Hicks
(Colorado Springs)

That's right ladies and gentlemen, Colorado Springs is to host a very special Bourbon tasting to really put a kick in your holiday season. Local spirits purveyor Coaltrain Wine & Liquor are hosting a bourbon tasting December 17th at 6 p.m. Ironically enough, the tasting is to be held at none other than The Warehouse (see related article). Apparently the motivation behind this rare tasting is the sudden access they have to rare and fine quality bourbons.

In the line-up will be the 10 and 17 year old Eagle Rares. Rare birds indeed. Among the other rarities will be Buffalo Trace, Van Winkel 12 year old, George T. Stagg (cask strength), and Sazerac Rye 18 year old, Weller 12 year old and the old "benchmark," Blantons. They have enlisted the "Whiskey Professor," Buz Dabkowski, to shepherd participants through these sublime spirits. Buz has conducted whiskey tastings and seminars around the world. So, everyone will be in knowledgeable and experienced hands.

If you are interested in attending this tasting or have further questions, call Coaltrain Wine & Liquor at (719) 475 9700 .

Gastronomically Yours,

Chicks
