"South Carolina Food and Beverage Scene"

The South Carolina food and beverage scene steeped in tradition and variety. For centuries they have celebrated their food and drinks. Known widely for their plentiful bounties of shrimp, crabs, assorted game fish, peaches, watermelon, okra and of course chitlins and grits.

You must have “Shrimp and Grits” and “She Crab Soup” to understand and appreciate the food in South Carolina. Both of these dishes are prepared at a wide variety of restaurants. From the little home-style cafes to the five-star white tablecloth establishments everyone has a different take on these specialty dishes.

There is a multitude of restaurants and top Chefs in the area that have no problem showing just what Carolina f&b is all about. The low-lying area of the state is known as the Low Country and has become its own culinary style.
