Hello, my name is Karen Holden, and I am your food and beverage insider for Greenville, SC. While I moved to Greenville from West Virginia in 1999, I have since married a native South Carolinian.
I have worked in the restaurant industry for more than 10 years. My first job was as a hostess and my most recent was as a manager. My experiences have ranged from small locally owned establishments and nightclubs to large corporate chain restaurants. I have worked in restaurants and bars form Huntington, WV to Tallahassee, FL.
As a busy family of four, we love to get away from home and dine out fairly regularly. With 2 children, some of our dining includes family restaurants, but we also spend a great deal of time dining out without the children. The growth of Greenville provides us with frequent opportunities to try new restaurants and entertainment venues.
I am excited to be a new Food and Beverage insider and look forward to sharing all of our experiences (both positive and negative) as we enjoy the dining and entertainment experience in Greenville.
